This client has recently partnered with The Brief Group following an audit of their OHS Management System which highlighted a number of deficiencies.

The Brief Group has started to work with them to develop a Safety System that is applicable to their business structure, processes and work environment. Being largely office-based the key hazards include workstation set-up, manual handling, fatigue management and psychosocial hazards such as stress and the potential for bullying / harassment.

Our OHS Consultant is scheduled to visit quarterly to guide the implementation of this new system, with a focus on simplicity, relevance and credibility, having regard to the relatively low-risk nature of their workplace and the associated limited amount of time the employees are realistically likely to devote to it.

Working primarily with the Company Secretary and Administration Supervisor, key activities have included the development of an OHS Implementation Action Plan to step out the implementation process and providing advice and guidance regarding the key risk management activities required. Our Consultant shall also be conducting OHS Employee Induction Workshops to increase awareness of the system and will be working with specific work groups to undertake risk assessments specific to their work functions.

Ongoing advice to the client outside of our scheduled visits has also been a feature of Partner Program relationship that has developed.
